You bet! I’ve got a three gallon tank compressor very similar in output to yours and I use it for major construction projects. The piston in the gun typically only uses a few cubic inches of air for each cycle, so as long as you don’t try to shoot a whole rail of nails without stopping you’ll be OK.

you could have one of my old ones if you like and yes you can run them on a pancake though if you ever get serious about it you’ll want something a bit bigger. sometimes you can get an expansion tank to improve the performance.
